Born on June 16,1989 in San Francisco, Christina Ayumi Jackson, who is half Japanese, cultivated a deep love for cooking via her mother and grandparents, who owned several restaurants in Tokyo.
Jackson attended the Culinary Institute of America and graduated in 2010 with a B.A in culinary arts and business management.
She has cooked under many prestigious chefs, Abe Hiroki, Missy Robbins, Adam Hegsted and Yuji Haraguchi, just to name a few.
She is classically French and Japanese trained, and has dabbled in Italian cuisine. Earlier this year, Jackson earned the title of Chopped Champion from competing on the T.V show Chopped from the Food Network. She is currently the chef at Okonomi/ Yuji Ramen.
